Men's Navy Lightweight Lambskin A-1 Flight Jacket

A navy A-1 flight jacket made by hand in our family workshop from lightweight lambskin. It fastens with a button front and finishes with a knit collar and ribbed cuffs for a relaxed, easy fit. A cotton body lining and an internal chest pocket make it a comfortable layer you can reach for through much of the year.

About the A-1 flight jacket

The A-1 was the first leather flight jacket issued to US Army Air Corps pilots, in the late 1920s, before the zip-front A-2 replaced it. Its button front and knit collar give it a softer, more relaxed look than most leather bombers. In navy leather it reads a little dressier than brown, so it works as easily over a shirt and chinos as it does with jeans and a T-shirt.

Sizing and care

The cut is relaxed, so most people take their usual size; if you are between sizes and want a closer fit, size down or choose made to measure. Lambskin is soft and light, so wipe off marks with a dry cloth, condition it two or three times a year and let it dry naturally if it gets wet.
